Hiking Guide Services

Janne's Safari offers qualified guidance for groups and individuals who wish to enjoy the natural beauty of Finland on foot. Why not join Janne on his most popular of hiking adventures into the wonderful forestry of Satakunta (West Coast of Finland).
Satakunta enhances some of the most beautiful rivers and woodland on the west coast which is home to a wide range of wild life and if you enjoy bird watching you may even think that you are in paradise. You can even take to a canoe if you wish and enjoy a leisurely paddle along one of the many rivers.
What ever you want we will arrange, even your transportation to and from your chosen destination.
A lunch box or main meal can be arranged if requested. Vegetarians are also catered for.

Janne's Safari organises snowshoe outings depending on snow situation (of course)!

You may choose your own duration between 1 -8 hours.
For example if you make a group booking of 9 people for a 4 hour period the price would be 25 € per person which includes guidance high quality snowshoes and refreshments.
If you are feeling really adventurous an over night trip can be arranged and you will be shown how to build your own snow cave to sleep in and before retiring for your night rest why not enjoy a traditional Finnish sauna and a meal. Please ask the price.

Renting a canoe
Janne's Safari has recently purchased 6 high quality Coleman canoes for your enjoyment.
24 hour rent is 25 €/canoe price includes equipment such as life jackets and so on.
You can hire a canoe trailer to transport your canoe to your chosen destination for a hire fee of 20 €/24-hour period.
Alternatively we can take your canoe to chosen destination at a fee of 0.50 €/km. This means you can be taken to one destination and collected from another.

Church Boat Trip

Here is an opportunity to enjoy light exercise with a difference. How about joining a group of 10 -15 people on a rowing trip along the beautiful and picturesque Joutsijarvi Lake in Kullaa Satakunta.
After rowing 4 km (2.4 miles), enjoy a short hike of 1,5 km to an old habitation which has it's own very interesting history. While there, enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea and a meal/picnic if you wish. When returning to the boat you can return along the same route or choose another to see more of the striking scenery.
Why not wind down a perfect day (the way Finns like to ) by adding Finnish sauna and swim in a clean beautiful lake (swimming costumes optional, how brave are you). Sauna and swimming are must. Why visit Finland and not enjoy their most popular tradition.

Canoe Safari

Get a group of people together and come canoeing on one of the peaceful but amazingly beautiful rivers, which Finland has to offer. Don't worry if you haven't canoed before, a qualified guide will teach you the secrets of canoeing.
During the trip there will be a break when tea and coffee will be made over an open fire and if you like a nice hot meal that can be arranged there to an alternatively a picnic lunch is available on request. Vegetarians are catered for.

Canoeing distance 5-20 km ~ 3-12 miles

Duration: 2 - 3 hours
Price: 380 € / 10 persons + transportation (max. 11 persons) 100 €

Duration: n. 3 - 5 hours
Price: 480 € / 10 persons + transportation (max. 11 persons) 100 €

The prices include canoe, life vest, tea or coffee over the open fire. If you would like a hot meal or picnic it can be organised for extra cost.

Hiking Trips

Take a trip with a qualified guide into the wonderful forest of Satakunta, which is on the West Coast of Finland. On the way we will see some of the historical places of Satakunta. And while having a break with a nice cup of tea or coffee made over an open fire, enjoy the voices of nature and peacefulness of the forest.

Price 25 €/person + transportation for small group (max. 11 persons) can be arranged for the price of 85 €

Handcar Trip

Why not try this novel form of exercise, fall in love with handcar driving. Could there be more fun way to get from place A to place B. Using the handcar we can for example see a real spring and we can enjoy cup of coffee in an old dugout (the dugout is only open on request).

You can choose the distance, which is between 15 km to 100 km (9 to 60 miles).
Duration is from 1 hour to 24 hours.
Prices 350 € / group of 10, including small refreshment during the trip.

Handcar - Hiking - Canoe - Safari

We start from Noormarkku shooting range from where we take the handcar 14km through lovely forest of Pomarkku. We have a break in a dugout, having light refreshments (sausage + vegetarian option) cooked over the open fire.
From Pomarkku we hike 12km through wonderful Isoneva's marshlands. When needed we have a coffee break. When we get to the Noormarkku River we have a lovely BBQ meal, vegetarians are catered for too. From there we canoe 13 km enjoying the amazing river views. Of course now and then we have a break making most of this splendid day.
Prise: For group of 8 the cost is 860 € inc. 22%VAT
